Vintersport!

Phoebe has continued skating for another session.  I don’t particularly like getting up early on Sunday (7:22) but I do like seeing Phoebe improve from week to week.  Cristin likes hockey because she and Ellie get to sleep in.   This morning, Phoebe and I returned around 10:15 and they were both still in bed.  Cristin was sound asleep (mind you she had gone to bed quite late) and I ran upstairs to check on Ellie and she was lying in bed playing with her nightlight.  I asked her how long she had been up as if she had some sense of time and realized it was probably several hours.    The main issue with the hockey lessons is that sometimes Phoebe and Gavin horse around and don’t take advantage of the limited ice time. They have gotten better about this but you can clearly see the banner image for this post that Phoebe is paying no attention to the coach.  I am not sure how far she will want to go with hockey.  As we were leaving, the pee-wee girls were hitting the ice.  There is a lot of dedication needed to this sport with early mornings and bumps and bruises and such.  Time will tell.
