A Jeep when Jeeps were Jeeps
Somewhere around 1987, Neill bought a red 1986 Jeep CJ7 to replace is his late 1970s red CJ7. 1986 was near the end of the CJ era before AMC/Chrysler commenced a series of horrible decisions including the 4 cylinder version of the YJ, the commander, and the compass. Thanks to your tax dollars and an impressive restyling of the grand cherokee, the brand was pulled off the chopping block in the nick of time during the first dip of the 200X recession. The laredo (pictured below) had all the trimmings and one prominent feature common to new england jeeps: rust. If ever anyone invents a time machine, please go back and retrieve this vehicle. Preferably at a time before the seat belt stanchions were held in place by the floor mats but sometime after the entire rear area was covered in a thick, permanent layer of Casey fur so that she can be cloned.
