Happy Birthday Phoebe! (and Puppa and Cristin)

There has been significant buildup moving towards Phoebe’s birthday. This included a lot of discussion about how it is possible that Cristin’s birthday is earlier in the calendar year yet somehow momma is older. 10x older.  Pneumonia postponed the Howley component of the birthday but we still managed to get to Friendly’s and open up gifts for the nuclear family portion and then on saturday Puppa and Gaga came for the extended Cowles birthday during which we also celebrated the birthdays of Cristin and Puppa with near zero fanfare.   They both appeared to have benefitted from Phoebe’s premature birth.  Phoebe got lots of stuff to build with including legos and some straw connector kit from the Jerotz which immediately converted Phoebe’s room into a minefield for the barefoot.  I also bought Phoebe some Sea Monkeys to give her some responsibility as a pet owner.  The survival rate so far is pretty bad even for an r-selected species.  Also there is some frustration that they don’t look much like the fun loving anthropomorphic creatures on the box.    I know it is cliche but it is hard to believe she is 4, especially since 4 is the new 5.  Here she is at 0,1, 2, and 3.
