Always Wanting More

We set aside for some time Sunday for a trip to the Rhode Island Convention Center to see boats.  Lots of boats.  Lots of nearly identical center console fishing boats with Yamaha motors hanging on the transom.  This was our fourth straight year to the show.  Last year our trip also featured a trip to snippets for their first hair cut, two years ago we toted around a tiny Ellie and three years back I had returned home with boats on the brain only to be shocked back into reality when Cristin walked out of the bathroom with one of those pregnancy sticks.   The girls scrambled on every vessel they could get to but  I tired quickly of looking at power boats so we shuffled towards the rather small area dedicated to sail.  I stuck the ladies in a small dinghy and showed them how to trim the sheets and use the jam cleats and they were hooked.  Above:  Pure sweetness.   Below:  the ladies first foray into sailing goes very well.

Above:  sleeping comfortably on a 285K boat.  Below:  Phoebe tries out the surfset surf trainer.  I have not spent a whole lot of time on a surfboard but you would have significant trouble mistaking the response of these boards for the real thing.  Both Phoebe and Ellie showed off their natural low CG skills.
