You Butter be Good!
My lackluster parental control has led to a new dinner tradition which is that the kids eat dessert at their table. It is entertaining but expands my cleaning responsibilities. In the picture below the kids are enjoying Gaga’s famous chocolate chip cookies. This was a particularly good batch and the four of us went through a large box of them in under a week. Speaking of cookies, Cowles Christmas Tradition #21 is to make and frost traditional holiday cookies. The cookie part is a simple boring traditional cookie. The frosting is everything. Vanilla, sugar, butter, eggs, butter. Did I mention butter. Yes, I believe the recipe calls for six sticks. I was sad to find that out but it didn’t cause me to eat any less. They are just too good.
