Summer has Arrived!
From late winter to spring, the weather has been crazy. Today (April 17), it was more than 80 degrees out when I got home after work. It hasn’t rained in as long as I can remember and all the vernal creeks are dusty and dry. The water temp is mid 50’s which doesn’t typically happen for another month. This is probably not a good thing but we make the best of it. After dinner the ladies and I went to Ned’s Point. Cristin met us there and drove us back to the house. Phoebe decided about 50 feet into the walk that she had a tummy ache which is her way of saying she wants to ride in the backpack. Somehow she was no longer tired when we got to shipyard park because she circled the lighthouse about 100 times. This game is stressful for parents because your child is out of sight for about 10 seconds of every 30. The good news is that Phoebe talks incessantly so it is not difficult to keep track of her. I put Cristin in charge of telling her that the game was over and it was time ago. Cristin was only slightly stronger than I would have been. She only said “last time Phoebe” about seven times.
