Taste of Winter

We got a little taste of winter during a rainy week.  I have done my best to get the kids outside as much as possible knowing what is to come.  Early indications are that we won’t experience the “polar vortex” at full bore but these long term forecasts are not all that reliable.  The basement made some progress towards suitable for humans once we removed the cats, bleached the floor a few times, and had a visit from 1-800-JUNK.  The ladies and I played soccer in the dark in sprinkling rain but when this moved to a downpour I grabbed vehicles and brought them into the basement.  Unfortunately, Ellie’s tricycle has too broad an axle track so she can’t the narrow passage between the stairs and the shop and is forced to ride tight circles like those ridiculous sprint cars.
