Florida: Toddler Overdrive

Tuesday we went to the beach and played all morning.  I took Ellie for a long walk along the waterline in the wagon which we both thoroughly enjoyed.  After naps we took the kids to the Fougeres for a cookout.  Devin dined with Phoebe at the kids table and Erin busted out a sweet oreo cake and we celebrated birthday number 1 of 4 for Phoebe.  Ellie sat with the adults and seemed to be gorging her food until we noticed that she was actually just tasting the food before passing it on to the dogs.  After dessert everybody had a bath and we headed out.   The amount of toddler energy in the house that evening was  disturbing.  Michel noted that even with a 1/1 adult/child ratio we only marginally had things under control.    It is too bad that they are essentially just 20 Watt space heaters that are impossible to harness for the purpose of any useful work.
