Florida: Animals and Barfing Children

Erin took the day off from coaxing sea creatures back into the water and met us with Devin at the Lowry Park Zoo.  She had built it up quite a bit but was spot on with her assessment. It is not overwhelmingly large or crowded and had a good assortment of animals in addition to a toddler-friendly kids area with rides, a small water park, and good food. I love our little local zoo in New Bedford but I wouldn’t mind having Lowry Park be 30 minutes away. Place is great.  After yet another Devin-Phoebe tearful parting we headed to the vacation house and I jumped in the third row of the minivan to encourage the girls to stay awake on route. After naps we went out to dinner which went about as well as a toddler dinner can go until roughly the point where Ellie overstuffed herself and vomited her entire meal onto me. We cleaned up and added a bit to the tip and ran out of there and managed to get some decent pics on the beach.Above:  Ellie was far more concerned about the bird on my hand.  Below:  This pic from Erin is great.  The Fougeres were pushing the future relationship scenario but I am thinking more on lines of an older brother. 

Above and Below:  That is the most expensive piece of lettuce ever.  Should be genetically engineered with the Louis Vuitton pattern.  The giraffes were happy though because after the kids had gone through the feeding station, they only needed 74.975 lbs left of their 75 lb daily ration.
