Happy Birthday Momo! and Poppi!
We took the ladies up to the annual joint Momo-Poppi birthday (formerly the annual joint Maura-Peter birthday at a nice restaurant with lots of enjoyable food eating). Phoebe had been talking about this event for some weeks and had made collages for Poppi and Momo. By making collages I mean sitting next to me while I make a collage and she picks out only pictures of herself or completely random pictures while I coax her towards sticking towards pictures which feature somehow the recipient of her artwork. I should also mention that Ellie sits in my lap and tries to smash the keyboard the entire time so I have to type at arms length. It was a really really nice day so Dave and I played B-Ball with the ladies outside while Tootsie assembled lunch. We sung two rounds of happy birthday and then had cupcakes. After lunch Poppi and I took Ellie and Phoebe to the playground while Cristin, Momo, and Momo’s friend Samir went to Whole Foods to buy supplies for a cleanse. Needless to say these bottles filled the door of my fridge for exactly three days after which they were uncapped and poured down the drain. Surprisingly I didn’t find them to be as foul as Cristin. The green drink tasted to me a bit like Miso Soup. However, I was not interested in slugging it down because I wasn’t sure what the effects would be so I refrained from finishing it. Cristin and I had to work so we couldn’t stay through dinner which was a bit disappointing because I find these trips to Wellesley pretty relaxing since there is lots of help around.
Above: Ellie Eats. She is an eating machine which means if you average her with Phoebe you get a normal eater. Below: Poppi entertains the ladies with some kind of futuristic wind up music player.
