Quisset excitement

Sunday of labor day weekend we took the kidlets to Quisset.  It was a perfect september day, not unlike our wedding day with a little breeze and a deep blue sky.  It was more or less a typical day except that upon leaving Quisset we were flagged down by man in a sailboat who informed us that someone on board was having heart failure and he wasn’t sure he could get to the dock with his draft.  We managed to transfer the individual without smashing boats and took him to the Quisset boatyard dock as fast as we reasonably could.  We had taken notice of the ambulance at least 30 minutes if not 45 minutes prior to the pickup and at that time thought there had been a fire.   There were probably 50 powerboats on the water within ten minutes of this sailboat as well as two or more harbormasters and the woods hole coast guard.  I am not sure why it was decided best that this sailboat motor down to Quisset to drop the guy at the dock.   We did not have our radio on so we don’t know what was discussed but I can’t imagine that their solution was the best one. Above:  Phoebe investigates the calorie contents of the box of snacks that she and I vaporized in 17 minutes.  Below:  Elle Belle outlasted Phoebe in the water.  It was a little chilly and perhaps a bit unnerving that we were swimming about ten miles away from where a 1300 lb Great White washed ashore the day before.
