Cousin send off

Ellie woke early and I took her on a walk so Cristin could sleep in.  We went to the boatyard and looked at the boats for sale.   We returned home and got Phoebe up and gave her pancakes and Phoebe and I headed out in the launch to retrieve the boat and pick up everybody at the dock. We first stopped at Quissett harbor and then made our way up the coast of Falmouth to Red Brook Harbor and in by Kingman Marine.  $5 buys you a slip for lunch.  We got there at 11:30 and took a table outside on the veranda and had a great meal and headed back to Mattapoisett. We weren’t ready to say goodbye to the cousins for the summer so Phoebe and I packed up and followed everybody back to Chatham.  I was thinking she might nap in the car.  I was wrong. Nobody napped so we stuck them all in their beds and Sarah and I headed downtown to look at insanely overpriced merchandise.  Main St. Chatham never got the news about the recession.   We returned home to find that the naps had failed and Gaga had rewarded everybody with popsicles.   We decided to have breakfast dinner (pancakes) and split up the kids and adults which made for a very pleasant meal.  After dinner the kids were at full throttle as Jordy and Phoebe ran loops around the house and eventually we turned this in a game of hide and seek.  It was very sad to have to say goodbye.

Above:  Ellie’s 6:00 wake time means I can get out for morning walks.  We mostly talk about boats.  Below:  Everybody at the Chart Room for a fun lunch on Red Brook Harbor.
