Most Important Hallmark Holiday
Another father’s day has come and gone. This year’s had a similar feel to last year’s, except the additional mouth to feed. Phoebe tried out her new bubbles and we put Tyrone outside to venture around. He moves very slowly and there is little threat of him escaping. The birds were very concerned about him so I think his reputation as an expert mouser carries on even in his feeble state. I took Phoebe to the beach and Poppi and Tootsie drove down bearing presents from their trip to Italy. It is rather impressive to me that they made the journey given their trip back yesterday started at 4 a.m. European Summer Time and involved stops in Frankfurt and Newark. We all had a very pleasant dinner at the Sippican although things turned sour for a bit when we pulled into our driveway and Phoebe discovered that were not at Poppi and Tootsie’s house.
Above: We are helping Tyrone get through his bucket list in whatever time he has left. He had always wanted to play bubbles with Phoebe. We are visiting the Reddi Whip factory tomorrow. Below: Phoebe was very affectionate today. She also managed to essentially snack away two meals. I am not sure if these events are related.
Above: Tootsie and Phoebe sing along to the over-modulated tunes put out by the cat piano. Below: After about 30 seconds of evaluation, Ellie reinstated Poppi on the not-a-stranger list for the 27th time. Perhaps bearing stuffed toys helps speed up the process.
