Super Boring XLVI

A spectacularly beautiful sunday.  Poppi and Tootsie came for brunch which turned out to be a pleasant restaurant meal instead of the normal experience which involves scarfing food at high speeds and asking for the bill before we even order.  We then visited the toy store for their monthly sale and picked up a few items so that Phoebe doesn’t fall behind her peers.  We played outside until naptime and I took off for a paddle across the harbor.  It was serene.  I returned to find that Phoebe had not napped but was still in her crib so we got her out and I walked with her to the boatyard.  She managed to walk the whole way with me holding her hand which, even with my monkey arms, requires me to walk with a significant tilt to my torso which seems to sadden my lower back.  We got back in time for dinner and the ladies bathed together.  Phoebe was asleep before she hit her crib.  Cristin had made chili for the “big game” and since we had recorded it we were able to watch most of the game in about 90 minutes.  If you are a football fan it probably didn’t live up to its nickname of the “super boring” which is how the rest of humanity refers to it (although in their defense, the majority of super bowls are not that competitive) but it was disheartening for new england folk.  Our neighbor texted us to let us know that the curse was lifted as he had at one point statistically correlated patriot losses with the presence of Cristin’s parents in our living room during the games.  He then texted back later that he had in fact seen their car over early in the day and thus has come to the conclusion that they cannot enter Mattapoisett at any point on game day.
