Winding Down

After the holiday hurricane, a quiet weekend was badly needed.  Phoebe started up swim lessons again and the class is packed.  With fourteen toddlers, it probably against better judgement for me to immerse my face trying to get Phoebe to do the same.  Phoebe also practiced surfing on the lawn and then refused to nap.  It was very pleasant weather for January and I managed to get in a paddleboard session including a welcomed immersion following a collision with a rock and a bike ride before Phoebe got tired of socializing with her crib creatures.   Sunday we went to the zoo and Phoebe delighted the otters with her charm.   When it was time to wind things down, Phoebe and Cristin built towers out of blocks and Ellie kicked them down with help from me.    Cristin cooked a very tasty turkey chili but made a last minute change up from Tortilla Chips to Tortilla Strips which she claims are what “all the ski areas use in their chili”. Breckenridge perhaps, but not Atitrash.
