Ghoshts and Moos
An unseasonally beautiful weekend meant we could spend significant time outdoors. Saturday Gaga and I took Phoebe to the Buttonwood Park Zoo which featured a plethora of inflatable decorations for their nighttime halloween strolls. Needless to say Phoebe had no interest in any of the animals and was much more focused on the ghosts, which she pronounces “ghoshts” (long o) in the manner of Humphrey Bogart (or more accurately Peter Brady as Humphrey Bogart). Her obsession with ghosts has not risen to the level of her cousin Lindsay who believes that the shower at Tootsie and Poppi’s house is haunted. While this is entertaining, it is also the premise of several recent horror movies, none of which ended well for the adults. Sunday I took Phoebe back to the Silverbrook Farm in Acushnet. She was a bit under the weather so we spent considerable time on the hayride. Watching people deal with the rather violent motions of a tractor-pulled wagon is quite entertaining.
