Bob Visits New England

After several seasons of false alarms, hurricane Bob paid a visit to southern New England.  Just to the right of the eyewall, Buzzards Bay took the brunt of it and more than a dozen houses were lost on Mattapoisett’s Angelica point.

Above:  Boats littered on the beach in Stage Harbor.  The O’day 272 seen in the center was not Esprit who dragged her mooring but stayed wet.  The destruction is amazing considering it was only a category 2 and the eyewall was considerably west of Chatham.
