Happy Birthday to Ellie!

Ellie hit the big 1.0 on September 7.  Cristin got  home early for her bithday so she actually spent more time commuting than at work.  I bought some cupcakes in the morning.   I think it was the Howley’s who started this cupcake tradition for us and I have to say I prefer it.  if you get an assortment, everybody can choose what they like.  I am a white cake / chocolate frosting person.  Ellie had her first cupcake and she definitely enjoyed it.  Afterward we opened presents and I was predicting a Phoebe meltdown following no nap, a giant cupcake, and having to watch and be patient while her sister opened all her presents.  Normally that is too much for a two year old but she never erupted.  Ellie is really at a fun age now because she can’t say no and everything is funny.  She especially likes physical comedy.  The act of banging my head with a cereal box is enough to set her off.
